Project Description
Wentworth Woodhouse, Rotherham
Various maintenance and heritage works undertaken to this magnificent ,Grade I listed stately home situated in the heart of Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
As part of the ongoing regeneration works for this property, due to our long term link with Fitzwilliam (Wentworth) Estate we are honoured to be contracted to replace 200 lineal meters of defective sewage drainage to the property in order to bring the building up to scratch.
Along the run will be 7 new manhole chambers including the removal of a huge overflow pipe from the cellars so that these can be opened up for public viewing as part of the Trust’s continued commitment to this property.
To the gardens; we have made some open steam pipe chambers safe so the public can enjoy safe, free roaming around the gardens. In addition to this we have made provisions to install some shed bases to allow the installation of some garden rooms for the public to enjoy picnics or quiet time to soak in the view.
We have carried out other works to the service ducts of the property in order to make areas safe for public entry.

Grade II listen Camellia House situated in the splendid gardens of Wentworth Woodhouse. Though now a shell, the Camellia House still houses some of the oldest and rarest camellias in the western world. They will have pride of place in the newly developed café space, which could be open by 2022!
We have carefully removed detritus and other debris from this run down building including timber mechanically fixed to the masonry internally. The building is now empty and safe for surveyors to assess what is needed to restore this building for the public to enjoy in hopefully the not too distant future!
